Al had stayed over last night... and hasn't quite left this morning, either. The day is stretching on, and Barma is still beautifully comfortable, now immersed in a book, as his fingers trail through Al's hair.

"We'll experiment, then."

He promises.

"Please." Al nods.

"If you're doing it out of urgency or control I'll respond to that. If it's out of love and caring I'll relax into it, and if you do it while you're wanting me, it's..." he searches for a word.

"I've come like that before."

"Oh?"

His expression changes, and he's watching him a little more closely now.

"It's very intense," he murmurs, with a smile.

"Hm."

Smiling.

"Tomorrow, let's try the crop."

Al's eyes widen a bit. Excitement, anticipation.

"I want you to eat well, tonight and tomorrow morning, drink plenty of water, and get a good night's sleep in your own bed."

Firm.

"Don't play with anyone between now and then."

The smiles calms, anticipating. He likes the orders that go beyond the here and now. It deepens the feelings.

"Yes, sir."

"Those are just health and safety concerns."

He admits,

"But tell me how you took your- instructions last time? Was that overstepping my bounds?"

"I loved them," Al admits, eyes lighting up. "And it absolutely wasn't overstepping. I like the marks, and the orders, and knowing that even if I wasn't there you were thinking of me."

"And you obeyed, I presume?"

Thumb brushing over his bottom lip.

"Yes," he breathes out.

"I could barely stand up after I finished."

"Good boy."

He smiles.

"That's exactly what I wanted to hear."

Al kisses his thumb softly.

"I want to do my best for you."

"I'm proud of you."

Firm.

Al flushes, and smiles, reaching out to cuddle close.

"But this time- just the self-care I described, all right?"

"Of course."

He grins.

"I think I'm going to enjoy this."

He predicts, firmly.

"I'm going to make sure you do."

Al grins, kissing his jaw. He's getting a bit bolder.

It makes him smile, responding, pulling him in close.

"I thought about you."

Al gladly presses against him, warm and calm.

"What did you think about?"

"About you, having that shower. Watching that ink."

"Did you do it too?" he whispers in his ear.

"I did. Under the water, so I could pretend you were there with me."
